When IMG Artists, organisers of the Singapore Sun Festival, were given the task to manage an international photographic competition for Insight Guides as part of the Singapore Sun Festival they started to consider what platform would be appropriate for such a prestigious event. With no in-house resources to run a highly professional and fully curated photographic competition that would engage enthusiasts from around the world, IMG Artists turned to Photophuse for a solution and discovered their new photo competitions platform was the perfect 'plug and play' solution.

In linking via the promoter's website the contestants were guided to the Singapore Sun Festival event and then entered the competition. In doing so they were transferred to the dynamic gallery platform and the rest was left to the gallery to manage. The entry and uploading process is simple and fast and can be controlled by the manager of the event.

 

'Entries started flooding in and we went from 30 entries to over 700 entries in a matter of 10 days and we now have over 1000 entries. With thanks to the Gallery the image quality and participation rate excelled and there was little to no additional promotion or expense required by us after the initial setup' Ms Coppin stated.

olympusWhen Olympus Australia were planning a product launch of their new E-PL1 digital camera, the globally recognised photography brand called on Photophuse for assistance. In collaboration with Olympus sales and marketing personnel, the Gallery devised a fully branded competition portal, which was hosted on the OlympusImaging.com.au domain.
Photophuse’s solution included social media elements such as a message board for participants, and the second phase of the competition displayed winners’ photos in a customised gallery.

In 2010, the marketing team at Laura Ashley Australia decided to run a living room makeover competition and engaged Photophuse to help. In what has probably been the most unique use of our photo competition portal to date, competition entrants were asked to take a photograph of their living room and to provide a short text description of why their living room should be made over by Laura Ashley. Photophuse provided a fully managed photo hosting solution, as well as marketing and graphic design support for the competition.
